Sopa de Albóndigas. As I continued my wanderings around Cuenca, I stopped in a small restaurant for lunch, considering it a great find since it had traditional Ecuadorian food. The place was packed with people and looked like a place where the local businesspeople and merchants came to eat. I had a big bowl of sopa de albondigas (meatball soup), which came with a little snack of canguil (popcorn), then a main course of steak with rice, french fries, and a vegetable salad. All of this was accompanied by a big glass of jugo de mora (blackberry juice).
