The Museo de las Culturas Aborígenas is packed with vases and urns, human figurines, fertility pieces, phallic statues, musical instruments, food vessels, and body adornments were all represented in hundreds of artifacts that filled every wall, every shelf, and most of the floor space. It was like wandering into the attic of some ancient ancestor. I reached the final room, which was filled with Inca ceramics from approximately 500 years ago, the most recent works in the museum. By this time, my brain felt as full as the overflowing rooms of this museum.
